Dutch designer Iris van Herpen has always sought inspiration from science: last season it was the Hadron Collider, a particle accelerator at CERN.

This season, it was terraforming—the idea of altering the climate and chemical composition another planet so that it is able to support human life.

This exploration of the terrestrial was reflected in both material and form: form-fitting jackets and full-skirted mini dresses in a translucent, almost holographic gauzy taupe; structured dresses fronted with a circular overlay; and woven metal dresses and high heels.
