Fall 2014 fashion trends : A new season means new fashion trends

A new season means new fashion trends. Here’s Fall 2014 fashion trends:

Leopard Print

Leopard Print is definitely in this season. If you want to dabble in the trend, try a leopard print bag or a leopard print shoe. If you want to dive in, go for a leopard print jacket, blouse or skirt.

Fringe

The fringe is in. Fringe skirts and jackets can look polished with the right combination of accessories. Add some heels and structured pieces to bring the look together.

Military

Some of the season’s hottest looks take inspiration from the military. Structured jackets with strong shoulders can be a great way to make a statement. Olive greens and subtle khakis can also bring the military look into your outfit with a more subtle appeal.

Go Bold

There are some bold colors this fall, particularly candy red. You can make this trend your own with pops of color in your accessories or even jackets or sweaters.

Texture

Layering textures is a perfect way to add variety and interest to an outfit. Faux furs, silk, wool, metallics and interesting patterns all help keep this seasons fashions far from drab.

Plaits

Plaited hair of all varieties is in this fall. Braids can add interest to an otherwise boring updo. Try a single loose braid in the back or a tighter braid in the front of your hair with a neat bun.

Kicks of Color

Muted pastels for makeup are a great way to add contrast to traditional fall hues. Teal, violet and shimmer are popular eye color trends this season.

Natural Wave

Ladies with naturally wavy hair are in luck this season. The slight natural wave adds an easy, earthy look to fall fashions.

Dusty Rose

A dusty rose color has been wildly popular for this year’s fall fashions. You can find it in scarves, makeup, jackets, sweaters, skirts and even shoes. It can be a great way to add a soft touch of romance to a military-inspired look.

Make a Statement

Statement hair is definitely in this season. Bold reds, icy blonds and strong brunettes are all popular hair color trends for fall 2014.

10 stages of Autumn/Winter fashion every woman experiences

It's not all frolicking in fallen leaves and drinking pumpkin spice lattes now that Autumn is here.

1. Tights

Oh great, I can wear tights again - my legs will skinny and I don't have to shave or fake tan.

Excuse me while I spend the rest of my days adjusting myself.

2. The Great Coat Debate

Your morning starts like this...
MONDAY
7:00AM: It's dry out, I'm sure a light coat will do.
9:00AM: Why did I listen to myself?

TUESDAY
7:00AM: It's raining out, I'll wear my winter boots.
9:00AM: Why does God hate me?

And repeat.

3. Denial

Pumps are still acceptable, right? Right?

4. Embracing fur but instead coming face to face with wet dog smell

Leaving the house like this...

...returning like this.

5. Not being able to use your phone with gloves on

Will I just get fingerless ones? But then my fingertips will freeze. And now I'll need a manicure.

6. Trying to look cool in hats but the wind has other ideas

Whoever said fedoras were fun in autumn is a liar. A dirty, dirty liar. This lady gets us.

7. Facing the reality of having to wear the same coat every day for four months

You've nailed styling this bad boy to a T. Jeans, skirts, red carpet event - that parka has paid for itself by now.

8. Your wardrobe is just a layered version of your summer clothes

Can't you see I'm wearing a scarf no? It's an entirely different look.

9. Attempting heels in snow

Winter wonderland, my foot. You're only kidding yourself here, Fearne.

10. Facing the harsh realities of your less than fabulous life when taking inspiration from fashion pages

Olivia Palermo wore thigh high boots with a blanket scarf, so we wore thigh high boots with a blanket scarf.

What To Wear With Your New Winter Boots

If there's a buy out there that needs to count, it's your winter boot. No matter if your walk to work is uphill both ways in 6-foot snowdrifts or a short-but-brutal clip from your car to the heated indoors, if you have to do it in a shoddy pair of boots, you might as well be barefoot. Not only do these babies have to be sturdy, they also have to match with your clothes.

Fall-winter boots

Unlike pretty sandals and fun sneakers that allow for skimping on construction, winter boots are made and (literally) broken on their stitching. So, if you're going to spend your money on anything this season, make it a boot made for slogging — not just walking.

But, unless Santa is your neighbor, you probably don't need thigh-high mukluks to get you through. We've got five boots you might want to add to your lineup — for the fall-to-winter days when you still want to look on — and how to work your wardrobe so they really kick.

Fall 2014 Fashion Trends for Your Teenage Daughter That Won’t Break the Bank

My daughter is a fashionista and is constantly following the top trends according to magazines like Teen Vouge, Seventeen, Girl’s Life and other popular magazines for teen girls. As a mom, I am careful about what trends I allow her to follow because I am not big on the super sexy low-cut items or short daisy duke shorts. As the temperatures get cooler outside, your teenager is probably pulling out their cozy sweaters, long sleeve shirts, jeans, and their favorite pair of boots. Today, I wanted to share with you some of the top fall 2014 fashion trends for your teenage daughter that won’t break the bank.

Shoes

Shoes are also a great interchangeable accessory to your wardrobe and having multiple shoes to choose form can instantly change the look of your outfit. As a rule of thumb, I generally choose nuetral color shoes so that I can wear them weather I dress up or down, depending on the occasion. Nordstrom has a huge selection of shoes up to 70% off plus free shipping using this promo code. Your child’s basic wardrobe should consist of a pair of tennis shoes for running, causal tennis shoes, and a minimum of one pair of dress shoes.

BoyFriend Jeans

My daughter tends to wear jeans on a regular basis and they are always in style. However, fashion trends are showing a switch from the skinny jeans to the boyfriend jeans. Don’t worry these jeans aren’t jeans that your daughter got from her boyfriend. Boyfriend jeans are a relaxed fit pair of jeans that are comfortable. They were designed to fit like the jeans that she would possibly borrow from her boyfriend. These jeans are also made so that they fit your daughter properly (since they were specifically designed for a woman’s body) and they love them because they don’t bunch up or sag like other jeans. If your daughter is worried about them looking frumpy or like old lady jeans, have her try on several different pairs until she finds the style that works for her. Just remember that when buying jeans, you should avoid buying jeans with holes in them especially if they are against your child’s dress code. You can find this items at Ebay.com and use Ebay discount code 15 off, ebay redemption code for saving!

Purchase Shirts and Sweaters that You Can Mix and Match

Find several tops that you can mix and match. This will help expand your wardrobe and give you plenty of options when it comes to wearing an outfit. When searching for tops, ask yourself if you can tuck it in, wear it out, tie or knot it, or add a belt? A shirt that can do all 4 of these styles is a great shirt because it gives you 4 different ways to wear it. Then ask yourself if the top would look good with a jeans, slacks, or skirt? If so, then you have increased the number of ways that you can wear your outfits to save you money on your child’s wardrobe.
